Some dogs are special from the moment they step into your life, and Numa is no exception. At just four months old, she’s already a force of nature—full of energy, adventure, and an insatiable love for food (seriously, treats are her love language).
A Rescue with a Story
Numa’s journey began at the Lewis and Clark Humane Society in Helena, Montana, where she was waiting for her perfect match. The moment I met her, I knew she was the one. There was something wild and free in her spirit—a natural-born explorer just waiting for her chance to run.
Her name, Numa, is inspired by Numa Mountain in Glacier National Park, a place of rugged beauty and untamed wilderness. It’s a fitting name for a pup who seems destined to roam the trails and chase adventure at every opportunity.
A Life of Play, Speed, and Snacks
If there’s one thing Numa loves more than anything, it’s playing, and eating. Whether she’s running around on a trail, playing with other dogs, or zooming through the house in an excited blur, (which I refer to as puppy pinball) she’s always moving. She’s a natural athlete—one who thrives on motion and excitement.
But don’t be fooled by her high-energy nature. Numa is also highly food motivated, which makes training both fun and hilarious. She is willing to go anywhere it involves biscuits.
The Perfect Trail Companion
As she grows, I can’t wait to take Numa on long hikes, trail runs, and outdoor adventures. With her boundless energy and love for exploring, she’s already proving to be the perfect trail companion. There’s something special about watching a dog experience the great outdoors—ears flopping, nose sniffing the air, pure joy radiating from every step.
Here’s to many more miles, mountains, and memories with Numa—my little wild spirit, always ready to run.
